Summer Mission Transition

We pride ourselves around tailoring our service around our students. At the end of the day, we want to see them succeed, and build the confidence they need to continue succeeding through life.

High school is hard these days. Certainly much harder than when we were in high school. It almost seems like students have to play 3 sports, do charity abroad, know 8 languages, have straight As, and maintain a social life on top of that.

We began noticing something: students these days are simply overwhelmed. We do our best to make sure our tutors stay accessible whenever needed, even through a quick text, call, or facetime, but we realized this is essentially reactionary. We are treating symptoms, not the cause.

So with input from several families we have worked with, we are proud to offer Mission Transition to help students acclimate from middle school to high school! This program is designed not to teach the Pythagorean theorem, or physics formulas, or gas laws, but to teach students how to learn - how to really build that base they need to excel in high school.

Without good study and organizational skills, you’re playing the game with one hand behind your back. Every student is different, and to have a teacher teach an entire class of teens a subject at once is a tall task- the system simply isn’t set up perfectly for everybody. Through this program, we hope to teach our students how to pick apart arguments, comprehend today's complex news, conduct effective research, figure out how to solve problems, and know where and how to turn for resources and help when they need it.

We are very excited about this program, and hope you are too. If you would like to learn more, contact your tutor or book a free consultation today!
